August, 2018: This month we are pleased to honor Art Cleveland, LCSW, LMFT, BCD, RPT-S as our Play More Hero. Art was nominated by Charles E. Schaefer, Ph.D. for the award. Sadly, Art passed away on August 11, 2018. It is impossible to fully describe how Art inspired and motivated his colleagues and the Play Therapy community. The Association for Play Therapy recently published a wonderful obituary and we are sharing that here. The Play More Hero award includes a 250-dollar gift certificate. This certificate will be donated to The Art Cleveland Play Therapy Endowment in anticipation that it will be shared with a worthy student at Florida State University College of Social Work.
